The Brook island Festival
We have researched the impact of the volcano at Brook Island. The volcanism advised us that the built up pressure in the molten rock will need to be released. The lava will be forced out of the narrow cracks in the the earths crust which will result in a massive explosion of overflowing lava that will spill out hundreds of kilometres across the island causing many deaths. Our team highly recommend that you should not have the festival on this island and remove yourselves as fast as possible from the danger you are about to witness.
The Impact of a Volcano
There are positive and negaitve impacts for people, land and property for living near an active volcano.
An impact is when there is an eruption of a volcano that many people can die.
The positive impacts are when the lava cools down it turns into very fertile soil This is good for famers and gardeners because their crops grow better. The lava is rich in iron which helps keeps nutrients in plants.
Volcanoes also attract tourism like Volcano Arenal in Costa Rica
Also volcanoes expand land. Islands like Brook Island, Bali and Hawaii were all created by volcanoes.
The negative impact a volcano has is the lava that destroys people and cities, for example the ancient eruption in Pompeii . The impact of volcanoes can also lead to earthquakes, mud flows and tidal waves.

The amazing story of pompeii
The city of Pompeii was an ancient Roman town near modern Naples in the Italian region of Campania, in the territory of the comune of Pompei. Pompeii along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area, were mostly destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 m 13 to 20 ft of ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.Researchers believe that the town was founded in the seventh or sixth century BC and was captured by the Romans in 80 BC. By the time of its destruction, 160 years later, its population was probably approximately 20,000, with a complex water system, an threate, gymnasium and a port.Mount Vesuvius is best known for its
eruption in 79 AD that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculneum. That eruption ejected a cloud of stone, ash and fumes to a height of 20.5 miles, spewing molten rock and pulverized pumice at the rate of 1.5 million tons per second.
